Beauty Supplement- VitAdvance Vita-Glow (Grape Seed Extract)

Glowing skin is a must for us girls, so it is fine that we gonna need some magic pill to help us acquire it. Aside from that our body needs vitamins and minerals to maintain normal function of different organs specifically our skin (largest organ). With so many supplements and pills coming out from the market, it is difficult to find what is best for you. I think natural and organic products are safer to use rather than the synthetic ones.

I will review some of the products I've used before. One of the best beauty supplement i tried (so far) is VitAdvance Vita-Glow (Grape Seed Extract). I found this wonderful product on the brochures of Avon. Very odd?. Yes they also sell beauty supplements. As I browse the pages of the brochure, the word "Grape Seed Extract (GSE)" caught my attention. I really want to try this supplement since I learned that GSE is good for the skin. It is usually taken with glutathione. Then I immediately ordered this product from a trusted reseller.

A bottle of VitAdvance Vita-Glow (Grape Seed Extract), contains 30 tablets 

Based on my research, GSEis a natural plant constituent (a bioflavonoid) which strengthens and protects living tissue. It’s not really surprising when you consider the scientific studies: they show that the antioxidant power of polyphenols is 20 times more powerful than vitamin E and 50 times greater than vitamin C . Grape Seed Extract is an anti-allergenic, anti-histamine, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant. This products contains:

Grape Seed Extract              110 mg

Ascorbic Acid                        30 mg

 -also known as Vitamin C is known to be very good to skin and  helps fight against infection.

Green Tea Extract                    2 mg

- functions in controlling high cholesterol, cancer cells, blood clots and aids in weight loss

Lycopene 10% Powder       0.60 mg

-helps in fighting cancer, guards against aging of the skin and helps with problems such as diabetes and cardiovascular system issues and disease.

Recommended use for adults is to take one to two tablets a day or recommended by your health professional.

Contraindicated to hypersensitive to the components or  lactating or pregnant women.

First time taking the pill:

Positives:

• light lavender in color (its grapes)
• no strong smell (smells like raisins)
• it taste like chalk (not bitter nor sweet)
• easy to swallow (even without water)
• packaging is good, it is sealed
•  easy to store
• inexpensive for as low as Php 225 (discounted price) to Php 300

Negatives:

• non-chewable (I miss taking flinstones vitamins,heheh)

After finishing my 30 tablets:

Positives:

• effective!!really whitens my skin, glowing (I used it with pure white L-cysteine supplement)
• less breakout, clearer skin
• maintained my desired weight
• didn't experience any undesired side effects

Negatives:

• always out of stock (best seller)
• you can only buy this at avon resellers and wholesale centers

Overall rating:

I give this product perfect score of 5 patrick stars. It is very effective anti-oxidant. Aside from that it is very cheap, it is suitable for those who have tight budget. It is very gentle and natural. No harmful side effects.The ingredients are powerful antioxidants which helps the skin to glow from within.

BB Cream Review -Ecorre Artist BB Cream

Happy New Year!! With all the hassles and stresses from the holidays, it is important to still have a glowing flawless skin. Those circles and eyebags are evident at this time. Moreover, dullness, uneven skin tone and dark spots start to come out. Thus beauty products and miracle creams to the rescue. The number one beauty essential on my list is the wonder BB cream. I've tried several brands. I want to share my experiences using these products.

These are the BB cream I tried and tested

One of these is the Ecorre artist BB cream. 

Ecorre BB Cream

I came across this BB cream while I'm shopping in a local Korean store. Upon my receiving my monthly salary, I went to check out the store. Then I saw the 3-pack sample size Ecorre BB cream. It only costs Php 40 per pack. Very cheap, especially you can use 2 packs for a month. I used to love this product. It gave me amazing results. For 3 months, it gave me a beautiful flawless skin, but something went wrong that is why i switched to other brands.

This product claim to have sun protection SPF 27 PA++,anti-wrinkle and whitening properties. Thanks to arbutin and adenosine. These were the key ingredients of Ecorre BB cream.

• Arbutin is a naturally occuring derivative of hydroquinone found in the leaves of cranberry, bearberry, and blueberry shrubs, most types of pears, and many other plants. Arbutin may inhibit melanogenesis by affecting tyrosinase activity. Arbutin has been used in the treatment of disorders of hyperpigmentation such as postinflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by acne, trauma, allergic reactions, infections, injuries, phototoxic reactions, reactions to medications, reactions to cosmetics, and inflammatory diseases. • Adenosine Troposphere (ATP) uses hydrolysis to break down into adenosine diphosphate also know as ADD it further down into adenosine monophosphate AMP and finally it breaks down into adenosine.The function of adenosine is that it carries energy to the cells, it is extremely important in the production of RNA-ribonuleic acid, the human body produces ATM from food than ATP produces energy as the body needs it. It is said that it will give a fair complexion without feeling of an oily skin.

Very anxious to try the product, when i got home, I applied it on my skin.

Ecorre BB cream supposed to be pea-sized only

Creamy but not thick. Pale yellowish white.

After spreading, it will adjust to your skin tone

Upon application of the BB cream:

Positives:

• smells good (yehey!!tea tree)
• creamy but not too thick
• easy to apply and spread
• superb coverage it cover my red zits, acne marks and uneven skin tone
• easily absorbed by the skin  (at first application very pale white,then it will adjust to your skin color for 2-3 minutes)
• skin looks fair and flawless
• anti-wrinkle (my skin looks young and supple)
• sun protection (spf 27++)

Negatives:

• a little bit messy upon application, from the sachet
• after 4-6 hours my oily face became more oily (look like glowing in a wrong way)

After 1 month of continued use:

Positives:

• acne marks diminished
• less big red pimples (cystic type)
• skin looks supple and moist
• whiter skin

This is my first time using BB Ecorre. Very satisfying. Without blush-on or any powder.

Negatives:

• oily face alert, increased oiliness :(
• messy if stored inside your bag
• it can stain clothes (difficult to remove, specially white shirts)
• its always out of stock (there are no reseller in our area
• on camera with flash, i look like a ghost (but without flash, looks okay)

After 3 months of continued use:

Postive:

• still superb cover-up for zits and acne marks 

Negative:

• waaaaah, i dont know what went wrong but, this product gave me whiteheads on my cheeks, (maybe because of the increased oil production?)
• it clogged my pores after 3 months of use  ;(
• don't have any whitening effect anymore, specifically after washing your face

Overall: 

I give Ecorre BB cream a rating of 4 out of 5 patrick stars. It is very cheap and effective. It can whiten your face and erase acne marks for as fast as two weeks. The only problem is that it makes my face more oily and that triggers breakouts and acne. It would have been a great product for me, but this is not good for long term use.

BB Cream Diary Review

BB cream or Blemish Balm is said to be good for blemished face. Before I didnt mind those things since I have clear skin, but when this adult acne came in, I'm obsessed about how I look. Became depressed. So I tried everything. Some of the products only helped for a while but then for a month or so...there they are again, the bunch of angry zits. Not just zits its a cystic type that is why is hard to get rid, specially the post acne scars. I first saw this product on tv, when the a program in channel myx featured korean culture. I want to give it a shot. Since then I became crazy about the blemish balm. I've tried 4 different brands. First brand is the Etude BB cream its not whitening and the coverage is not enough. I experienced breakout from this brand. So I stopped using it.

Then I bought Jasmine Water from unknown brand. It looks dewy and little dark. Good thing about this brand it has spf. But it also gave me some new breakouts. But that time i have few acne marks.

Then the third one is the ecorre brand. Its cheap, very available since it is found on our local store. it made my skin pretty for a while

Wonder Luncheon

It's been a while since I have fun eating. Since I'm on a strict diet without dairies, pork, chicken and no chocolates...grrrr....I already lost 5 kilos in just 3 weeks. I'm not that fat, but i want to cleanse my body. My mom invited to have our lunch at LOLA PENDON's pad. I've been there for quite some time but this is the first time I tried a full meal course. At first I was skeptic about the food, since I've lost my appetite on every single food I see. First we tasted, the Sibukaw tea (I'm not sure about the spelling) It's kinda look like a red tea mixed with basil. It's not sweet (ex-sweet lover, its a plus) yet flavorful and aromatic. The sibukaw tea is said to be good for blood circulation. It's working if you perspire after your first glass. After the last drop of sibukaw tea, I felt a rush of heat coming out of my body and then the sweat started to come out. Lola Pendon then told me that there are people who buy the sibukaw root for 50 php/3 sticks of roots. It was satisfy, then we proceed to the cassava flakes (not real name). It was some kind of a taco shell, but made out of cassava. It is a good source of carbohydrate. Not sweet, so it taste good. It's very crunchy and kind of brittle. I really enjoyed that. Then the main course is served. There is sweet and sour fish (not sure what kind of fish), ginaataang langka (jack fruit with coconut milk?), eggplant with bean sprouts and tomatoes and the most priced food, "the wonder lumpia". The dip is made from organic vinegar and real honey. It taste like heaven. I'm very full that day. I'm not guilty because it all organic and very healthy..Thanks to Lola's gift of nature that she can deliver it in a very special way. THanks LOLA..I hope that I can taste more of your food, btw Lola is 84 years old and yet she plant, cultivate and cook those wonder foods.
